Dr. Cecilia Bahit is the Senior Director of Clinical Research at the Baim Institute for Clinical Research. She received her Medical Degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed her cardiology training as Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires. She went on to pursue a Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University in Durham, NC, USA, followed by a research fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, USA. She is currently the Chief of Cardiology at INECO Neurociencias Rosario, Argentina, and serves as Co-Chair of the World Stroke Organization Heart & Brain Task Force. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Bahit has built extensive experience in clinical research, serving as principal investigator for multiple international randomized clinical trials, leading national and international registries, and contributing to Steering and Executive Committees as well as Clinical Events Committees (CECs).
In addition, she has held operational and executive roles at academic research organizations (AROs) in Argentina. Her research interests include atrial fibrillation, antiplatelet therapy and anticoagulation, the heart-brain connection, acute coronary syndromes, and heart failure.
