Cecilia Bahit, MD

Dr. Cecilia Bahit received her Medical Degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is the Chief of Cardiology at INECO Neurociencias Rosario, Argentina and is currently serving as Co-Chair World Stroke Organization Heart & Brain Task Force, World Stroke Organization. Over the last 20 years, she has been working in clinical research in different positions. Dr Bahit has been principal investigator in several international randomized clinical trials, has led several national and international clinical trials and registries, has served as member of Steering/Executive Committees, and has participated in clinical events committees (CECs) for many trials. Dr Bahit also worked in academic research organizations (AROs) in Argentina in the operational and executive positions. Her research interest include atrial fibrillation, antiplatelet therapy and anticoagulation, heart-brain connection, acute coronary syndromes and heart failure.
Dr Bahit completed her cardiology training at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, Argentina, her Cardiology Fellowship at the Duke University, Durham, USA and her research fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard School, Boston, USA.
