Yazan Daaboul, MD

Now the Director of the Core Lab Services at Baim Institute, Dr. Yaz Daaboul completed a research fellowship at PERFUSE study group and participated in advancing numerous large-scale phase III randomized trials, namely PIONEER AF-PCI, APEX, AEGIS-I, and EMBRACE. His research interests include acute coronary syndromes, antiplatelet therapy, thromboembolism, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Dr. Daaboul completed his residency and non-invasive cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, during which he also served as chief cardiology fellow and representative of the bylaws committee at the Massachusetts Medical Society. Dr. Daaboul specializes in general and structural echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac computer tomography (CT) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). He is a certified biostatistician with statistical expertise in survival analysis, regression models, and cost-effectiveness analysis.

Dr. Daaboul has authored more than 100 original research, publications, abstracts, and book chapters, including Topol’s Textbook of Interventional Cardiology, Braunwald’s Heart Disease companion textbook for Nuclear Cardiology and Multimodal Cardiovascular Imaging, and Springer’s textbook on Quality Measures. His prolific research work has been cited 2000+ times.

Dr. Daaboul is familiar to the public at large as a medical correspondent for the International Journal of Current Research and host of the medical show “The Yaz Show”, as well as his presence on his various social media channels addressing contemporary medical news, patient advocacy, and medical satire. Dr. Daaboul also has his very own successful social media consulting agency where he serves as an independent social media consultant for numerous pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
